Another digital "painting" done quickly in photoshop.
This one was made for the Parent's Jam in enterVOID's forum boards.

To the left is the mother, Rosabella Quaille. A professional opera singer until she traded it for marriage, Rosa lived under the stress and physical abuse of her well to do family for unknown reasons. Because of this she is always nervous or uncomfortable around those she finds attractive or friendly. Over time her husband helped her overcome her past trauma, and rarely leaves their home without him.
She is technically the Queen Cardinal of the Winter continent, but she tends to avoid political affairs due to some self confidence issues.

On the right is Lord Eliseo Picozza, High Cardinal of the Winter continent. He is described best in few words: brash, tempermental, sarcastic, and fearless. Although he bore a rough icy exterior, but deep down.....he was really a lonesome puppy hearted doofus. Before he even met Rosa, he was nothing more than a secret fanboy of her music. He even contained a secret collection of all the opera CD's and promotional photographs involving her work in his bed chamber. As her husband, he tends to dote on her constantly.

Ok ok enough about them. There's more background detail but my brain is slowly shutting down, so there you go.

Basically Eliza is of royalty, which I didn't really mean for that to happen. It's such a bad cliche to have a main character be a princess and I didn't think about it at the time, but oh well.

Hahahaha least it got your attention right? :|

Actually I cheated. Those were supposed to be hands but I went to Lazyville and made them into huge sleeves. Then I realized " well....they look like gargantuan hooters too....shit."
She IS a big lady though so, you might be right after all 8U
:iconxxdhxx:
that fabric around her hands is, no joke, the *best* I have ever seen you tackle drapery in an illustration. Ku-DOS!
:iconwintra:
This is beautiful. The woman's facial expression is very well done. She has sort of an eeesshhhk look on her face. Love the coloring. It's simple and still works.

Have you hugged your tapeworm today?

I love your utilization of lavender, it gives the picture a nice balance of a warm-cool mood. It's frosty but soothing, if I can find the right words for it XD. Great sense of design for their attire too - It was interesting learning about her parents!

Also, even though you say having characters as royalty is supposedly cliche, some people are good at writing and portraying so well that readers will forget the fact that the concept is cliche.. sometimes the importance is in the execution and not as much the idea, especially since Eliza is a character intended to be portrayed through the medium of comics 8)

(now i kinda want to try this parents jam XD)

Thanks! I've been practicing ever so slowly on gettin' them drapes down.
:iconbittermause:
Aww thank you very much! Hahaha yeah she is one of those nervous types, so it's good that her expression addresses it.
